What personal data I collect and why I collect it

Comments

When you leave a comment on the site, I collect any data you fill in the comments form, your IP address, and which browser you use. This is collected so that I can tell if you are a spammer or a real human with opinions.

Media

If you ever upload an image to the website, you should avoid uploading images with location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download images and possibly read any location data from the images.

Cookies

If you leave a comment, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Embedded content from other websites

Stuff I post on this site may include content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.) from other websites. Some of it – like an embedded YouTube video – may behave in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited that website.

This content may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained until I decide to manually delete it. This is so any follow-up comments can be automatically approved instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

If you really want any info deleting, just drop me an email.
